How To Beat Solitaire

Classic solitaire is such an enjoyable game precisely because it is so simple. You can play game after game against yourself, whether with a deck of physical cards or a free solitaire app. After a while, you start to figure out early on whether your current hand of solitaire is winnable at all. In some solitaire games, there are a few truly unwinnable hands. It takes a considerable measure of skill, though, to win all of the solitaire hands that can be won. Here are some strategies to help you make the most of the cards you are dealt:

Don’t Draw Cards from the Deck Until You Absolutely Need Them

One of the most fun parts of solitaire is when you deal your hand and immediately see lots of cards that you can move. You can tell experienced solitaire players by how quickly they move their cards at the beginning of the game. The goal of this, of course, is to start building your foundations and to free up as much of the stockpile as possible. In an ideal hand, most of the cards in the deck can go straight to the foundation.

When a Card Can Go More Than One Place, Choose Wisely

The real skill of playing solitaire comes in when there is more than one possibility of where to play a card. Much as with chess, you must think several steps ahead. Will the card be more use if you play it in the foundation or put it on top of another card currently in play? Remember that, once you expose all the cards from the stockpile, you are in the clear. All of your moves should have the purpose of getting you closer to that goal.

To make the most of every solitaire hand, keep your eyes on the goal of exposing cards from the stockpile. Solitaire is developed by Mobilityware.
