Sixa: Full Computer in the App

San Francisco, USA (July 6th 2016) – Mykola Minchenko and Ievgen Nechaiev have officially released cloud computing service Sixa.

Sixa (www.sixa.io) is a full computer that operates right from the cloud via a client app. It includes your choice of hardware and software and is capable of running the most demanding applications.

The Company allows users to access a powerful computer in the cloud for complex tasks such as video-editing, design, 3-D modelling, development, gaming or VR. Sixa offers custom computers for developers, designers, and gamers, and each comes with preinstalled software for their specific use cases. Cloud computer can be accessed from any device with a wifi connection. Users can access the service through multiple platforms, including web, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.

“Usually, when it comes to multimedia content, remote desktop protocols start to lag, drop the frames, and degrade the picture quality, the sound will be bad, or there will be no sound at all,” Mykola Minchenko, Sixa CEO, explained. “We wanted to change this because we thought of having the user experience from working on the cloud computer without traditional remote desktop protocol limitations.”

Sixa computers have an Intel Xeon E5-2666 v3 (Haswell) processor, 30GB of RAM, 200GB SSD Disk, Windows 2012 R2, and pre-installed software including FileZilla, Ruby, Visual Studio 2015 Community, Microsoft OneDrive, Adobe Flash, Google Chrome, Firefox, Dropbox, Silverlight, .NET, and Atom. Unlike other cloud computing services SIXA has external devices support, Full HD screen and unlimited resolution.

“We’ve seen how lower server and storage costs and increased accessibility to the Internet have empowered tech startups to build great, valuable businesses,” says Adora Cheung, Partner at Y Combinator, where Sixa was accepted in May 2016. “We’re excited to see Sixa further lower the barrier for entrepreneurs to build even more powerful applications and solve the difficulty of building across the ever-growing fragmentation of new game-changing technologies.”
